My Summer to Fall Dress

by debbie

Today was a busy day.  My daughter had two of her wisdom teeth removed and tonight I am giving her ice packs on ten minutes then off twenty minutes all evening.  In between I’m writing my blog post and fixing food for my youngest and well…you get the picture.  I knew today was going to be crazy.  Here is this week’s celebrity inspiration from two birds, a bohemian look from Sienna Miller:

Oh, and one more thing.  I always like how kris of a thrifty LA life does mirror shots so I tried it out today.  Now for my version:

The Faded Glory denim vest was thrifted from Goodwill.  I recently bought this Xhilaration brand black and white knit dress from Target.  It’s going to be a great dress to transition into fall.  I’m looking forward to pairing it with denim leggings and later with tights and boots.

This colorful felt flower belt that I thrifted gives these neutrals a pop of color and helps me to feel more visible.  I like what a few touches of brights can do for black and white.  I also wore these cute colorful crochet and bead rings that I picked up at Glitter for only one dollar each:

Glitter

And yes, I did wear all three!  I’m linking up with Not Dead Yet Style for Visible Monday.  Throw on something that makes you feel fabulous on Mondays!  It’s a great way to start the week!

What I’m wearing:  Xhilaration black and white knit dress, Target.  Faded Glory denim vest, Goodwill.  Black capri leggings, Family Dollar.  Felt flower and beaded belt, thrifted.  Crochet and beaded rings, Glitter.  Black flats with ankle bands, Shoe Show.  Double pearl earrings, very old.

My felted flower belt is a recent thrift and the denim vest is a favorite thrift of mine.  I’m linking this post with spunky chateau for Thursdays are for Thrifters and Thriftaholics Weekly #10.  And as a thriftaholic, I vow to continue with my habit!

Sweet Serendipity

I’m also linking up my colorful floral accessories paired with my new black and white print dress up at Everybody, Everywear Mixed Prints.

Love your mirror shots! (Mine always come out blurry…. do you think my mirror might be too filthy? Eek!) That flower belt is so cool! And the dress looks like such a versatile, all-seasons item.

I like your look more than the inspiration look. I just love felted flowers. I have a few marked over at Etsy that I would love to have. I am constantly amazed by the excellent thrifting you do!

Ugh I remember my wisdom teeth pulling. I had 8 wisdom teeth, and they were pulled all at the same time.
